Wondering what The Secret Masquerade is all about? No stress. We’ve put together this handy dandy guide of some FAQs about The Secret Masquerade to sort you out. Of course, if you still have questions, just email us on email@example.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Is dinner being served?
No, when you buy a ticket to The Secret Masquerade it does not include dinner. Doors open for the event at 21h00 and there is a snack bar at the venue for you to grab a bite to eat throughout the night. If you’re looking to join us for dinner beforehand, we would love to have you; simply select the “Plus Dinner” option when purchasing your ticket.
I thought the whole point of SecretEATS are dinners. Why is this event different?
SecretEATS isn’t about just dinners — we’re about bringing people together and we do this in a variety of ways with our Secret events. When we were approached with an opportunity to raise R50,000 for the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, we knew that a dinner wasn’t going to do the trick so we decided to throw a party. Fortunately, we’ve been lucky enough to work with the incredible Katy’s Palace and they know a thing or two about hosting an epic night.
So, what can I expect when I arrive?
When you arrive, you’ll step into a magical fantasy world of The Secret Masquerade. There will be fire throwers, acrobats and a Secret surprise or two lurking around every corner. The bar will be fully stocked and the music will be pumping to get you out on the dance floor. But, most importantly, we’ll be hosting a silent auction to raise funds for the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre and we truly hope you’ll participate. The silent auction will run from 9 pm until 10 pm and we will send out a list of the exciting prizes about a week before the charity gala.
Wait…this is for a charity?
Yes, silly! We’ve teamed up with the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre and we’ve set a goal to raise R50,000 from the silent auction. We originally set a goal of R25,000 but the Centre came back, challenged us and we’ve doubled our fundraising goal. This is where you come in! We need each and every one of you to help spread the word and share The Secret Masquerade so we can raise as much money as possible for the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre.
Why should I care about the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre? I live in Joburg not Hoedspruit.
Well, if you’re asking this question…it might be best you just stay home. The Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre rescues endangered, orphaned and mistreated rhinos, cheetahs and other animals from the wild, rehabilitates them and works to get them back out into Mother Nature as soon as they’re ready. This is something that — as South Africans — should be near and dear to our hearts. Rhino poaching is destroying the lives of some of our most precious wildlife. Cheetahs are dwindling in numbers. The Centre works day in and day out — tirelessly — to stop the extinction of these majestic, beautiful living and breathing members of our culture and society. Don’t you think opening your heart and your wallet is a good idea? We sure do.
